This water-level pressure switch (WP3952466) is for washers.
Water-level pressure switch senses and controls the water level in the washer. It works by sensing the pressure differential created by the presence of water. When the water level exceeds a set height, the pressure forces two contacts together which creates an electrical connection and allows a signal to propogate. When the water level then decreases, the two contacts are pushed apart by spring pressure and the signal stops.
Unplug the washer and shut off the water supply before installing this part.
